How to place an order?

Placing an order online is simple. Just follow the steps after signing in your account:

Step 1: Click on an item that you like.
Step 2: Choose the wanted quantity if you intend to buy more than one piece, and click “Add To Cart”.
Step 3: Confirm the quantity and item on the Shopping Cart Page.
Step 4: Select the pickup or delivery method. Click “Proceed to Checkout”.
Step 5: At the Checkout page, you would be asked to indicate your billing details, delivery information and also payment information. Click “Pay Now” at the Checkout Confirmation Page!
Step 6: You will be redirected to payment. Upon successful completion, an Order Confirmation email will follow shortly.
Step 7: In March 2025, you will receive either digital tickets for pickup at the Gala Dinner on 29th March 2025, or details for school pickup or delivery.

I have problems ordering on the website. What can I do?

Our website is best supported by Google Chrome, Safari, Opera, and Mozilla Firefox and Edge. If you are still experiencing website loading issues, please contact 125dinner@ywgs.edu.hk for assistance.

Payment

What currencies are the price displayed in?

All prices are displayed in Hong Kong Dollars (HKD).

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa or Mastercard, Apple Pay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, FPS and Payme. For transaction over $50,000, we recommend making the payment via cheque to prevent online transaction charges. Please contact Ms Cherry So at 125dinner@ywgs.edu.hk for details.

Is there a transaction handling charge?

Yes, there is 3% handling charge of your transaction value for Visa or Mastercard while 2% for Alipay, WeChat Pay, FPS or Payme payment. We chose to offer online payment and ordering for your seamless experience anywhere and anytime. We wish we could lend your kind support to voluntarily pay the handling charges by choosing the options on the CHECKOUT page. The additional charges will be borne by the school otherwise.

Is the online payment safe?

Our payment processes meet the most stringent international security standards set by the Payment Card Industry. To ensure your online shopping experience is safe and secure, the e-shop adopts 256 – bit SSL encryption technology when processing your financial details. This encrypts and protects the data you send to us via the Internet.

My credit card details are not being accepted. What should I do?

You may check with your bank or financial institution to identify the issues, or you may consider to use other payment methods.

Thanksgiving

Do you need digital or physical tickets to join Thanksgiving service?

Free admission. No physical or digital ticket will be issued. Please ensure your name is input correctly for cross checking at the reception of Thanksgiving Service.

Dinner

Who can join YWGS 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner?

  1. The Gala Dinner is exclusive for alumnae, former or existing teaching staff, as well as existing students and parents. All guests can purchase tickets online while existing students and parents can purchase via school.
  2. Guests are welcome to attend with family members. Regular price applies to any attendants age over 3.

When and where will YWGS 125th Anniversary Gala Dinner take place?

The Gala Dinner on March 29, 2025 will be held at Hopewell Hotel, 15 Kennedy Road, Wan Chai, HK. Dinner will start at 7:00pm with reception starting at 6:00pm.

How can I pick up my Gala Dinner tickets?

  1. We will accept digital tickets only for admission at the dinner. No physical tickets will be issued.
  2. Should you have any issues of receiving or using digital tickets, please contact 125dinner@ywgs.edu.hk for assistance.

Can I request to sit with my fellows at the Gala Dinner?

  1. The seating plan for alumnae is arranged according to graduating years.
  2. The seating arrangement is not on a first-come first-served basis.
  3. If you would hope to sit together with your fellows, we highly recommend you to purchase round table tickets, or purchase multiple individual tickets in same transaction. Most importantly, input your and your fellow’s names and contacts correctly, then we will prioritize on seating arrangement.
  4. Any special seating requests across various transactions are not guaranteed to be satisfied.

Why do I need to input my graduating year on the Guest Information page?

The seating plan for alumnae is arranged according to graduated years. This information will facilitate our seating arrangement. 

What if I do not have my guests’ information for the Guest Information Page?

  1. If you do not have the details now, you can click the link on the confirmation email to return to the Guest Information page later.
  2. If you do not submit your guests’ details, we will send all digital tickets to the orderer automatically.

What should I select as my Graduated Class and Year on the Guest Information Page?

  1. If you graduated twice from YWGS (e.g. Form 5 and Form 7):
    • we recommend to select your first Graduated Class (e.g. “Form 5”) and input the corresponding Graduated Year on the Guest Information Page.
  2. If you are not sure about your graduated year:
    • please select “Others” under Graduated Class.
  3. If you only attended YWGS for a few years but did not graduate:
    • please select “Others” under Graduated Class.
  4. If you graduated from the kindergarten or primary school section of YWGS: 
    • please select “Others” under Graduated Class.
  5. If you are a family member or companion of YWGS alumnae:
    • please select “Alumnae’s Companion” under Graduated Class.

What is the capacity of each table at Gala Dinner?

Each table can seat up to 12 guests (adults or kids). We do not recommend to seat any additional persons.

Can I have guest parking at the Gala Dinner?

Regrettably guest parking is not available at the Gala Dinner. We shall inform you by email about transport recommendation when it’s closer to the event date.

Souvenir

Who can purchase the souvenir?

Any alumnae, student, teaching staff and their family and friends are welcome to order the souvenir online.

Can I purchase souvenir at the Gala Dinner?

Souvenir will be available for sale at the Gala Dinner only while stock lasts. We cannot guarantee the availability at the Gala Dinner and recommend you to pre-order online. 

How can I pick up my souvenirs?

1. Dinner Pickup: If you are attending the dinner, we recommend you to pick up at dinner on 29th March, 2025. QR code will be sent to you in March 2025 to facilitate the product pickup process.
2. School Pickup or Local Delivery: Alternatively, you can choose in person pickup at YWGS or local delivery by SF Express from 1st April to 30th June, 2025. More information about the pickup or delivery will be sent to you by email in March 2025.
3. Overseas Delivery: Overseas delivery can be arranged by Hong Kong Post and will be separately managed by the YWGS administrative team. Please pre-order and settle the payment online, and an administrator will contact you later regarding the delivery fee.

Do you provide International Shipping?

International Shipping can be arranged by Hong Kong Post and will be separately arranged and followed up by YWGS administration team. Please pre-order and settle the payment online and the administrator shall contact you later for the delivery fee.

Donation

Who can make donation?

Anyone is welcome to make donation.

Do you accept in-kind donation?

We appreciate your kind support. Please email photos of the items you wish to donate, along with relevant details (such as quantity, size, expiry date, etc.) to 125dinner@ywgs.edu.hk

How and when can I receive my donation receipt?

Any donation of HK$100 or above is tax deductible in Hong Kong. You can select to receive the official donation receipt by email or by post at the payment page. The donation receipt will be sent to you by email or by post in 30 working days.

Can I refund my ticket or souvenir?

  1. Dinner tickets are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Privacy

Do you keep my personal details?

We will not share your information with any other organizations other than related companies and those third parties directly related to the online payment and delivery of the products you have purchased from the e-shop. We do not sell, share or trade customers/visitors personal information collected online with third parties. Personal information collected online will only be disclosed within the Organizer for internal use only.
